Marine Claims Adjuster & Loss Adjusting in the Baltic States
When the cause, extent or value of a marine loss requires independent assessment, Pandi Balt investigates the circumstances, documents the evidence and reports its findings to the instructing principal. Local attendance is coordinated throughout Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia.
Investigation & Loss Assessment
We investigate the circumstances and likely cause of a loss, assess the nature and extent of damage, review available documents and evidence, arrange surveys or technical examinations, and evaluate the claimed amount. Our report sets out the findings, supporting material and points requiring a decision by the principal.
Marine Claims We Handle
Assignments may concern cargo damage, shortage or abandoned cargo, vessel and property damage, collisions, groundings, pollution incidents and other marine casualties. The precise scope depends on the instruction and the evidence available.
Independent Surveys & Specialist Coordination
Where necessary, we arrange surveyors, engineers, laboratories and other specialists. Their findings are brought together with the claim documents so the principal can assess liability, quantum, mitigation, settlement and possible recovery.
From First Notification to Resolution
An adjusting assignment may be limited to investigation, valuation and a loss report, or form part of a broader claims handling mandate. Under an agreed mandate we can continue with party communication, settlement support, reporting and recovery coordination. See Insurance Claims Handling & Third-Party Administration for the full claims operation.
Local Attendance Across the Baltic States
Pandi Balt coordinates local attendance and specialist work through its offices and network in Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia. Reports and recommendations are provided to the instructing principal, including principals based outside the Baltic States.
