Green Card Correspondent in the Baltic States

Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia joined the Green Card system on 1 May 2004. Since that time, Pandi Balt has acted for numerous European insurers as correspondent and claims representative throughout the Baltic States.
Today, Pandi Balt represents more than 40 European insurance companies working in the field of MTPL insurance.
Handling Claims Under the Green Card System
Pandi Balt handles Green Card claims involving road accidents and losses falling within the Green Card system.
Our work includes communication with the insurer, injured parties and other parties involved in the claim, examination of the available documentation and handling of the claim in accordance with applicable local law.
Where questions arise concerning liability or the amount of the claimed loss, Pandi Balt works with the insurer and communicates with the injured party in order to establish the relevant circumstances and address the disputed issues.
Local court practice and the guidelines of the relevant Motor Insurers’ Bureaux are taken into account when handling and settling claims.
Loss Assessment & Expert Assistance
Depending on the circumstances of the claim, Pandi Balt arranges evaluation and calculation of losses, surveys of damaged vehicles and other property and independent expert examinations.
Where personal injury is involved, independent medical examinations and expert assessments can be arranged.
Pandi Balt also examines and translates documents confirming the circumstances of road accidents and the resulting losses when required for the handling of the claim.
Representation & Legal Assistance
Pandi Balt represents its clients in communication with injured parties and other third parties and, where required by the case, before state and municipal institutions and state courts.
Legal specialists may be involved where the individual claim requires legal assistance.
Recovery & Related Claims Work
In addition to the handling of Green Card claims, Pandi Balt assists insurance companies with recovery of insurance compensation from local underwriters in regress cases.
