Marine, P&I & Shipping Matters
We assist P&I Clubs, shipowners, marine insurers and other principals with legal matters arising from:

- crew injury, illness and death claims
- marine casualties
- collisions and groundings
- damage to port and terminal property
- disputes with cargo interests and other counterparties
- matters involving port, customs, migration and other authorities
Our work includes legal analysis, correspondence, negotiations, settlement discussions and representation of the principal's interests.
Motor & Insurance Matters
Pandi Balt also provides legal assistance to insurers in connection with motor insurance claims.
This includes MTPL and Green Card matters, questions of liability and quantum, disputes with claimants and other parties and recovery of insurance compensation from liable insurers.
Negotiations & Settlement
A substantial part of claims work takes place before court proceedings become necessary.

In motor insurance matters, Pandi Balt represents its Clients before the victims and third parties, before state and municipal institutions and before state courts.
In maritime matters, correct fixation of damages and investigation of the circumstances usually allow disputes to be settled out of court. Where this is not possible, the material collected supports the lawyers representing the shipowner's interests in the proceedings.
